MIRROR
I think that the mirror event had the least effect in my life what so ever, to me it was pointless. the only thing i liked about the activity was that we got to go outside and play with the mirrors in the elevator. the event was so basic, all we had to do was hold the mirrors up in such a way that the partner and you can see each others faces, after that you walk away and make faces. it was pointless because there was nothing that i learned that i already knew. i guess the point of the activity was to loosen up, so i guess it helped somewhat.

DUCHAMP
Duchamp's work is all in all very unique and vivid, its almost like he made up his own little world, and has his own theories to prove his points. One big problem that Duchamp has while working on his visions, is conveying the meaning of his logic to the audience or viewers. The fact that his art is so visual and complicated Duchamp had to publish an explanation to his eccentric designs, which are so long they could be made into a book, one piece of art work 4 page explanation, to me that sounds "boring". Even though he had explanations viewers seem to have their own interpretation and theories about his art work. To me his artwork is very geometrical, very straight lines, and also blocky, there are many objects that divert your attention there is tremendous amount of movement but no realistic perspective.
The only reason I support his art work because he has an explanation to his twisted theories even though I don't think they are true he seems to make a good attempt to convince me, I think that all in all Duchamp has very interesting logics. And that visual concepts has a lot to do with his art work, but I think a little more accuracy or detail in his art work would have been key, in convincing his audience.

PATTERN MAKING
citation:http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/Images/heasarc/missions/coded_legri_pattern.gif
pattern is a form, template, or model which can be used to make or generate things or parts of a thing.
pattern making was pretty simple because you could make many different patterns with a simple foundation design. it was kind of frustrating to figure out ways to make he patterns look unique even though they were but in very simple ways. i had trouble aligning the foundation designs, but other than that it was fun and a good learning experience.

in the last class, our class engaged in an activity, where everyone was handed a ball string and was allowed to tangel the string around the whole classroom. well you know what you get when each student is handed string and are allowed to tangle the room up, a big mess. that wasnt the worst part, the worst part was when it was time to clean up. but an unfortunate couple of students wrapped themselves up withe string, the worse thing was my ball of string was tangled with thiers. it took us almost 1 and a half hour to untangel the whole room and the students. i was unfortunately the last one to cleanup. but i think the experience gave everybody a chance to get to know each other, it was also a great bonding experience. but the most important thing i think was that it gave everyone a visual perspective, of how your suppose to take something out the same way you put it in.

a contrast of yellow and black, with different
shades of the two colors are used in this image. on the right hand side there seems to be a figure of a man, surrounded by bright light. next to him there is man with light falling on the left side of his body. he is smaller than the man infront of him. behind the second man. there seems to be a figure, doing some kind of chore, there is very little light on this figure. in this figure your eyes move from the left hand side to the right hand side.
this image suggests that the character that is the biggest, is the most important due to the surrounding light, and also that the second figure is some what scared. it gives some what of a dull mood due to the lack of light and clarity.
this image gives out a religious meaning because the big figure seems to look like jesus, and one of his desciples.
i think this picture looks interesting because, to see whats happening you would actually have to concentrate on the figures. i think it would be better if the used more colors, and i also think that the movement of your eyes from the left side to the right is impressive, even though the picture lacks balance.
